亲友们： 　　今天我们怀着非常沉重的心情，哀悼我们亲爱的同学，朋友，兄弟和同事。 　　王旭同学是辽宁省大连市人，生于1974年。1992年7月毕业于大连第二十四高级中学高三四班，大连市理 科状元，辽宁省第二，同年九月份进入清华大学清华大学电子工程系无21班读书。1997年保送电子系读直博，2001年初来美国工作。王旭同学曾担任无21班班长，96级辅导员。2001年美国中部时间4月13日不幸 因车祸遇难。 　　噩耗传来，没有人能接受这个残酷的现实。王旭同学是成绩优秀，尊敬师长的好学生；是身受学生的爱戴的好辅导员；在实验室和公司，他则是勤勤恳恳和成绩突出的工程师。惊闻噩耗后，国内外所有认识他的同学，朋友，师长和学生，纷纷发来悼信。我们为用有这样的朋友而深深感到自豪。 　　王旭同学是一位聪明上进，谦虚诚恳，善良正直的朋友。在五年的朝夕相处中，我们结下了深厚的友谊。在困难的时候我们互相帮助，在高兴的时候一起欢笑，在失败的时候互相鼓励。王旭从来不曾拒绝任何需要帮助的请求，他总是伸出友爱的手，耐心的帮你出一个一个推心置腹的主意。他总是微笑着，倾听来自朋友，学生的倾诉。他安祥的和我们分享着人生的每一个烦恼和喜悦。在他那里我们不仅得到了帮助，也获得了信心和安宁。直到这可怕的一天，我们再也找不到他了。 　　我们为失去这样一个朋友感到万分悲恸和遗憾。我们亲爱的朋友，你的人生虽然短暂，但象一颗灿烂的流星，你刹那的光华照亮了我们每个人的眼睛。在为王旭同学哭泣的时候，让我们更多的祝福生者，祝福他可怜的父母兄弟，祝福他的亲戚朋友。让我们珍惜生命的每一刻，享受健康完整的人生。愿王旭在天堂里安息。 　　 　　 清华大学电子工程系统92级 　　 Dear Friends, 　　 　　Today we are gathering together with deep sorrow, to say farewell to our dearest brother, friend, classmate and colleague -- Wang Xu. 　　Xu was born at Fuxin, Liaoning in 1974. He entered Tsinghua University as the No. 1 examinee in Chinese College Entrance Examination of Dalian in 1992. In 1997, Xu obtained his Bachelor of Engineering with major in Electrical Engineering. He started his Ph.D. study after the graduation. At the beginning of this year, he came to St. Louis and worked in Celox Networks. On the afternoon of April 13, Xu was involved in a serious car accident and left us forever. 　　Upon hearing this tragedy, no one could believe what had happened. As a student, Xu is well known for his academic excellence. He shows a lot of respect for people who have tutored him and he is widely respected by people who he has tutored. In the labs and the companies he has worked in, he has a good repuation of being an outstanding student and excellent engineer. After the tragedy was announced, we have received numerous condolence from all his classmates, friends, mentors and students in both U.S. and China. We are deeply proud of having such a friend. 　　Xu is intelligent, modest, honest and upright. A deep friendship has been developed between us during the years we had been together. We offer each other help in times of hardship. We share our laughters in times of happiness. We give each other encouragement in times of failure. Xu has never turned down any request and always gives out his helping hands. He would listen to your problems with his soothing smile and he would share your every bit of happiness and sadness peacefully. We keep receiving his help and restoring our confidence and peace until one terrible day we can no more find him. 　　A friend in need is a friend indeed. We feel extremely sorry and sorrowful for losing such a friend. Our dear friend, though your life is short, it sweeps through our sky like a shining meteor. Your bright light drives off the darkness in our eyes. While we are crying for our friend Xu, let us also pray for those who are still alive but suffering from this tragic loss. Let us pray for his parents and brother, for all his families. Let us be thankful for every second we are having and enjoy our precious life.
